Membership of APDSI
There are two classes of membership – full and Affiliate – to APDSI
.
Full Members - Basic Level
Full membership is only open to those companies or individuals who are active in the referring of clients to debt solutions providers. Full members must hold, and provide to the Secretariat, a valid licence under the Consumer Credit Acts 1974 and 2006. The member must hold either an FSA authorisation or be engaged in providing professional debt advice with commercial debt counseling and debt adjuaspent on their Consumer Credit Licence (CCL). Full members must also hold and provide to the Secretariat an appropriate notification under the Data Protection Act 1998.
Full members will be listed in the Association’s Full Membership Register and be able to use the Association’s full membership logo. They will also have access to the full range of benefits of the Association as well as receive the Association’s newsletter, regulatory updates and benefit from any promotions or offers secured by the Association for its members.
The cost of full membership is £50 per year.
Full Members – Membership Plus
A higher rate of £80 per annum is available for those full members wishing to use the compliance support service, including access to model answers for CCL amendments and completion of a Credit Competence Plan (CCP1).
Affiliate Members
Affiliate membership is open to specialist debt solution providers operating in the financial services and debt management industries such as Debt Management Companies and Insolvency Practitioners. Affiliate membership is given at the discretion of the Executive Committee and on payment of the appropriate annual fee.
Affiliate members will be able to use the Association’s Affiliate membership logo as well as have their details included in the register of Affiliate members on the website. They will also receive the Association’s newsletter and benefit from any promotions or offers secured by the Association for its members.
